facebook jitters

i get all nervous when colleagues add me on facebook.
it doesn't help when most comments i get from colleagues start with "jasmine, i didn't know that you ... ... ... !"

afterall, facebook is a social networking site which should not overlap with work life.
at least in my humble royal opinion, personal and work life should be kept as separate as north and south pole.

who do people see when they look at my profile?

this is a question i should have asked myself when i signed up for facebook.
the deal i got when i claimed a page on facebook was that i had to surrender my life for public scrutiny.
and public of course includes people in my work life, who should, otherwise, only be introduced to my work persona.

my above thoughts make me appear dodgy but faithful readers of my blog should know that i reveal very little about myself, even to friends i consider dearest.
issues in my life are available on a 'reverse enquiry' basis - ask and you shall get. Don't and i won't tell. no offence.

my only solace is that at least my blog is free from the discerning eyes of colleagues... or so i assume...
