"The decision marks the end of Wall Street as we have known it'' - William Isaac
This blog is supposed to be for my frivolous, shallow thoughts and not meant to be taken seriously. But...
I am seriously disturbed by the spate of jaw-dropping finanical upheavals in recent weeks.
In awe and total disbelief at what has happened because I will never imagine that such a complete shakeup of what was previously entrenched in my mind as a stable, legitimate financial system can possibly happen right before my eyes.
Sept. 22 (Bloomberg) -- The Wall Street that shaped the financial world for two decades ended last night, when Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Morgan Stanley concluded there is no future in remaining investment banks now that investors have determined the model is broken.
I keep thinking back one year ago when I just graduated, my dream was to (someday) get into one of the cool and swanky investment banks. I am sure I was not alone. And now... look at the turn of fortunes. *shudders*
Happy to have a job now.
Thanks to whoever and whatever.
